Chris L. Hughes was born in Yakima, WA, to Cy and Roberta Hughes on Jan. 15, 1963.
He passed away at his home in Spokane Valley, WA, on Feb. 3, 2026, from natural causes.
The youngest of seven children, he was loved very much.
Growing up in Alaska, he enjoyed all outdoor activities. Moving to Spokane as a teenager, he completed high school and became a welder and a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 375 in Alaska. Chris was a Christian and had a great sense of humor.
Chris was very generous and very devoted to his family and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Cindy Becker, AK, Cathy Steiner, WA, and Deneice Solien, PA; and his brother, David Hughes, AK.
He is survived by his sisters, Connie Gallamore (Gordon) and Deanne Hornbuckle; and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
A private life celebration to be held at a later date.

Chris was a great friend not in many years we had to fall outs and our Good times but it was always a good time when Chris was around he was always happy little crazy at times but he was always there if you needed a friend and I will surely miss him in my life and to his sisters thank you for sending me the message love is passing nobody ever loves to hear of somebody dying but at least somebody's got to know no so thank you Connie and Deanna God bless
