He passed away at his home in Spokane Valley, WA, on Feb. 3, 2026, from natural causes.

The youngest of seven children, he was loved very much.

Growing up in Alaska, he enjoyed all outdoor activities. Moving to Spokane as a teenager, he completed high school and became a welder and a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 375 in Alaska. Chris was a Christian and had a great sense of humor.

Chris was very generous and very devoted to his family and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Cindy Becker, AK, Cathy Steiner, WA, and Deneice Solien, PA; and his brother, David Hughes, AK.

He is survived by his sisters, Connie Gallamore (Gordon) and Deanne Hornbuckle; and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
