Chris Kite, age 61, of Caroleen, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Chris was born Wednesday, February 19th in Boiling Springs, NC to the late Brenda Scoggins Thompson. He worked for John H. Montgomery and Stonecutter Mills for several years. Chris enjoyed anything to do with cars, which included working on cars and building model cars. He also enjoyed watching movies and especially loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Thompson and a daughter, Kristi Vickers.
Those left to cherish his memory include his domestic partner of thirty years, Debra Brown; brother, Johnny Kite (Sarah) of Kentucky; sister, LaTrail Van Der Lugt (Ron) of Pelzer, SC; brother, Gary Thompson (Jennifer) of Forest City; and his granddaughters, Makenzi Poirier and Hannah Poirier. He is also survived by his daughters, Amanda Weathers, Misty Smith and Candace Kite and his nieces, Nikki Kite, Emily Thompson, Kabrina Kite and nephew, Dewayne Kite.
No formal services will be conducted.
