Mr. Christopher David McClure, age 42, found his peace. Chris passed away at his lifetime home on June 12, 2025. He was born June 28, 1982 in Carrollton, GA. Chris was preceded in death by his brother, Brandon McClure and his grandparents, David and Clara McClure and Barbara and Hoyt Finley.
To know Chris was to love Chris. Ask anyone about him and they will tell you about his bright blue eyes, his mischievous grin, his amazing hugs, and his most tender heart. Chris loved big, friend and family alike. If he loved you, you knew it because he shared his love freely. He was always very protective of his daughter, his little brother and his parents. In his mind they deserved only the best. Despite facing personal struggles, Chris's love for family and friends never wavered and he was forever a mama's boy.
Chris always cherished his four-legged friends. From growing up with BJ, the mutt to Noel, the labradoodle that was the last to hold that place of honor, Chris was proud of his dogs. Chris also has a passion for Chevy trucks, especially his. If you saw Chris driving around in his black Z71 you saw the realization of a dream.
Chris always found beauty in nature. From snowcapped mountains to sunsets at the beach or flowers in his yard he showed appreciation for it all. He enjoyed sharing pictures of it so others could see the beauty as well. The other pictures he found joy in were the ones he wore. Tattoos made Chris happy. Any day at the tattoo parlor was a good day.
Chris is survived by his parents, Randy and Denise McClure and daughter, Ansley McClure-Keever all of Tallapoosa.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 20, 2025 at 3:00PM in the Miller Funeral Home Dogwood Chapel with Pastor Jon Ellis, Rev. Josh Smith, and Blake Spradlin officiating. Those serving as pallbearers will be Paul Harvell, Sheldon Alexander, Trey Lovelace, Cheri Mitchell, Jarrico Green, and Mark Windom. Interment will follow at Riverside Church Cemetery.
His family will receive friends Friday, June 20th from 1:00PM until the funeral hour.
