Chris N. Nikolich

Chris N. Nikolich entered eternal life on October 1, 2023, and spent his final days surrounded by family.
He was born to Nick and Beda Nikolich on November 26, 1956, and was the third of five children. After attending Mayfair Junior College, he kicked off his career in the automotive industry. He married the love of his life Heidi in 2010 and became the proud stepfather to son Nico. After spending his entire life as a Chicagoan, he spent his final years soaking up the Phoenix sun.
Chris had a vibrant energy that always filled the room when he was in it. He was a die-hard Cubs fan and lover of old Western films. He loved to sing, whether it be with his band Bombay and the Whalers, or with family around the table at a holiday. He had the incredible ability to show up to any event the moment food hit the table and was somehow always first in line to eat. Chris was a jokester who always had us laughing and we will forever miss the sound of his laugh.
He is survived by a huge family who loved him dearly: wife Heidi, stepson Nico, and dog Calvin; siblings Kathy (Pete), Sharon, and Mark (Petra); siblings-in-law Anna, Rhoniel (Hazel), and Roehl (Litsas); and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends too numerous to list but not forgotten. Chris is reunited with his parents Nick and Beda, sister Joyce, and pets Duke, Tigger, and Kipper.
All services will be held at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary and Cemetery (6500 E Bell Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85254). Friends can visit with Chris' family on Thursday, October 12, Thursday from 5-9pm. Funeral services will be held the following day with visitation from 10-11am on Friday, October 13 followed by Funeral Services from 11am-12pm. Burial to follow at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary and Cemetery at 12:15pm.
A celebration of life will be held in Chicago. Details to follow.
