Maria Nikolich Obituary
Maria Nikolich, 84, of Chicago, Ill. passed to another realm on January 16, 2025. Born in Tarnów, Poland to the late Ludomir and Salomea Maksymowicz, she was predeceased by her husband Miodrak Nikolic and by her son Alexander Nikolich. She is survived by her niece Ewa Swierczek and her husband Mariusz Swierczek of Chicago, Ill. Also three cousins: Hedwige Kuepper of Milford, CT, Christiane Babiak of Poligny, France, Jadwiga Chrobak of Tarnów, Poland and extended family in Poland. Well versed in several languages, she served as interpreter at Cook County Circuit Court in Chicago. She also was a dedicated and well-loved nurse at North Shore Hospital, Chicago. A compassionate human being, she touched many people in a very special way. A private family gathering is planned later in the Spring.
Memorial contributions can be made to Ascension Rainbow Hospice in Chicago.
