Chris Sharp Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Thomas Funeral Home - Centerville on Dec. 23, 2025.
Chris Sharp, 70 of Centerville passed away, Saturday, December 20, 2025 at her home.
Chris was born to Carl & Mary (Delp) Coffman in Davenport on December 6, 1955. On August 31, 1985, Chris was united in marriage to Allen Sharp. To this union came two children, Patty and Steve.
Chris worked several jobs throughout her life but was most likely noted as a homemaker. She was a mom and grandma to her own kids and several others in the community. Anyone who knew Chris, knew if she was around them. Her raspy voice was one that stopped someone in their tracks. She would either be smiling at you, or you were in trouble- and you knew which one it was because she wasn't quiet about it. She had the biggest heart, and was always worried about everyone around her, rather than herself.
Chris enjoyed sewing, baking and cooking. She thoroughly enjoyed cooking for and spending time with her family. She was especially fond of her trips to the casinos, always willing to try her luck.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Patty (Don) Richmond and Steve (Stephanie) Sharp; special nephew, Clovie Coffman, Jr.; her grandchildren, Makenzie (Kolton) DeVore, Ashley (Austin) Melendy, and Jarrett Sharp; her great grandchildren, Karter DeVore, Kaysie DeVore and Kelsey DeVore; her brother, Clovie Coffman; cousins, Nancy Schuler and Larry Schuler; her sister-in-law, Diana (Chris) Bonnett; as well as numerous extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Sharp; her mother, Mary Coffman; her aunt, Martha Schuler; her sister-in-law, Connie Coffman; and her mother-in-law, Dixie Sharp.
Visitation will take place Monday, December 29, 2025 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville with the family greeting friends from 4:00PM-6:00PM. Funeral services will follow the visitation directly at 6:00PM. Memorials have been established to the Weekend Backpack Program (please make checks payable to Centerville Faith Church, weekend backpack in the memo) and may be mailed to Thomas Funeral Home, ATTN: Sharp Family, 501 North 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
