Chris Shaw

Christopher "Chris" Layden Shaw, 50, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Candler Hospital after a long battle with health issues. He was the loving son of Carl and Janis Shaw Shaw of Savannah.
Chris was a 1993 graduate of Benedictine Military School. He worked for the Crab Shack and Huc A Poos Resturants.
For the past 25 years Chris worked for U.P.S. in Atlanta and Savannah area. He loved each and every one of these jobs and made many friends along the way. Chris was an avid Atlanta Falcons fan, even when they were losing, he stood strong as a faithful supporter. He will be missed by friends and family who loved to cheer the Falcons on along with him.
One of Chris' favorite pastimes was playing video games after work with his cousins and friends. These gamers will miss him very much.
In addition to his parents, Carl and Janis Shaw, he is also survived by his loving sister, Jennifer Layden Shaw, with whom he had a special bond. He is also survived by his large family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, wo cared for him deeply.
The family will have a time of visitation to celebrate his life, on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m., at Fox & Weeks, Islands Chapel.

A private family ceremony will be held for Chris at a later date.
