Chris Snyder, age 40, of Lodi, passed away on September 12, 2025, at Robert Packer Hospital due to injuries sustained in a tragic tractor accident.
He was a devoted family man, who cherished his wife, and children. Chris’s pride and joy were undeniably his children, who meant everything to him.
Born on December 8, 1984, in Geneva, New York, he was a son of Robert and Susan (Ike) Snyder. Throughout his life, Chris was immensely passionate about his career and hobbies. He began his journey in farming as a teenager, working for Doc Mehling where he discovered his love for tractors. Chris also had a deep appreciation for operating heavy equipment, having worked with JG3 and owning a Caterpillar D4 dozer.
Chris was a die-hard John Deere enthusiast, proudly maintaining his beloved John Deere 620. His love for the land manifested through his hobby farming and recently, he embraced another passion by showing horses with his children at local events.
Chris leaves behind his wife, Naomi Snyder; four children, Jethro, Abbie, Randy, and Justin Snyder; sister, Natalie Tomberelli; mother, Susan Snyder; in-laws, Dan "Papa" and Joan "Gma" Thorpe; brothers-in-law, Jared Thorpe and Brandon Green; grandmother Sis Everts; grandmother in law, Roberta Thorpe; nephews, Shawn Bagshaw, Joseph Snyder, and Jayden Parker; as well as his dogs, Hersey and Max; and horses, Cindy and Coco.
