Mr. Chris Thrasher, age 49, of Chapel Hill, TN passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024 in Columbia, TN. He was a native of Maury County, TN and the son of the late Paul Howard Thrasher and Peggy Ann Mobley Thrasher. Chris worked for General Motors Corporation in mechanical maintenance and he was a member of Chapel Hill Church of Christ.
Chris loved Alabama football games and strongly supported Alabama athletics. He loved cooking and making meals for his family. Most of all, he loved talking with his family and friends and sharing time with them!
Chris is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Carrie Gilliam Thrasher of Chapel Hill, TN; children, Grace Thrasher of Chapel Hill, TN, Reese Thrasher of Chapel Hill, TN, Annie Thrasher of Chapel Hill, TN; sister, Tracy (Harry) Dreyer of Columbia, TN; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Bobby and Linda Gilliam of Lewisburg, TN; brothers-in-law, Bengi (Kim) Gilliam of Chapel Hill, TN, Chad (Amanda) Gilliam of Chapel Hill, TN; nieces and nephews, Dustin & Madi Dreyer, Conner, Shea, & Ryann Lewis, Aubrey, Will, & Caroline Gilliam.
Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 from 4 PM until 8 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted at 1 PM on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Isaac Bourne, J.D. Schwartz, and Paten Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow at the Ring Cemetery in the Pottsville Community of Maury County, TN.
Bengi Gilliam, Chad Gilliam, Harry Dreyer, Dustin Dreyer, Jarrod Dotson, and Richie Griffith will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Rob Tyree, Joe Rhodes, and Kevin Rhodes.
For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Chris Thrasher Memorial Fund which is at First Commerce Bank in Chapel Hill, TN.
