Mr. L.C. Foster, age 86, of Shelbyville, TN, passed away on December 9, 2025 in Murfreesboro, TN. Born on February 16, 1939, in Marshall County, TN, he was the son of the late John Thomas Foster and Ethel Johnson Foster. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Teresa Wilburn. He was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.
L.C. was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He grew up spending time with his siblings and enjoying those special moments and bonds they created. L.C enjoyed Bluegrass Festivals and traveling to the mountains. He took great joy in spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as spoiling them. L.C. was a man who always made an impact on anyone he met and was always greeting you with a smile. He was kind, gentle, and smart. He enjoyed playing guitars and watching NASCAR. Most of all, he adored his wife and was always willing to go the extra mile for her.
L.C. is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Mable Ruth Foster of Shelbyville, TN; children, Karon (Billy) King of Shelbyville, TN, Kenny (Donna) Foster Shelbyville, TN, Mark (Elisha) Foster of Shelbyville, TN; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; siblings, Jane Cook of Wheel, TN, Harold Foster of Lewisburg, TN, and Jackie Foster of Fairview, TN.
Visitation with the Foster family will be Friday, December 12, 2025, from 10AM until 12PM. The funeral service for Mr. L.C. will take place at 12PM from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hopper Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, 2831 Mt. Lebanon Road, Lewisburg, TN 37091 or a charity of your choice.
