Christa Lynn Proctor, 56, of Lexington Park, MD entered eternal rest on June 24, 2025.
Born November 30, 1968, in Washington, DC to the late Sylvia Catherine and James Alton Proctor, Sr.
"Chrissy" as known to many, graduated from Friendly High School, Fort Washington, MD, 1987. In 1989, she was blessed with her first-born Derick Riley. In 1994, came the blessing of her second son Darell Newsome. On June 27, 1997, she married the late Kotrell Newsome.
Chrissy was employed in various jobs before finally unable to work any longer. Chrissy was a caring, kind soul, that would do anything for you if she could. Once she gets mad at you though, watch out.
If you know Chrissy, she would always talk about her sons Derick and Darell, and her grandbabies, Nicole and Grayson, who she loved dearly.
Chrissy leaves to cherish her sons Derick Riley and Darell Newsome, daughter-in-law Jasmine Riley, her two precious grandbabies, Nicole and Grayson. Her siblings; Marie, William (Karen), Lillian Sandra, Betty Elaine, Jeffrey (Debbie), Cynthia (Val), Paul (Stephanie), Danny Richard (Velma), Daniel-Mousey, sisters-in-laws Valerie Proctor, Lisa Hall-Proctor, and Keva Newsome (Neil). As well as her mother-in-law Laverne Newsome and father-in-law Willie Newsome, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Chrissy was preceded in death by her late husband, Kotrell, her brothers, James Alton Proctor, Jr. (Rosa Lee), Thomas (Mikie) Proctor, Lawrence Joseph (Budgie) Proctor (Pamela), Timothy Ricky Proctor, Sr., her nephew Damon Proctor, Sr., and her brother-in-law Leonard Baldwin.
