Christa devoted many years of her life working diligently as a Bookkeeper for an auto repair business. Her commitment and attention to detail were appreciated by all who had the pleasure of working alongside her.
A dedicated member of Jehovah's Witnesses, Christa found comfort and community within her faith. She cherished the time spent with her congregation and lived her life guided by her beliefs.
She is survived by her loving husband, Heinrich A. Stevens, with whom she shared many wonderful years. Together, they raised two sons, Olaf Stevens (Dawn) of Montana and Eric Stevens (Yvonne) of North Carolina, who were the pride of her life. Christa was also a devoted grandmother to her three cherished grandchildren, Mikayla, Shaun, and Katie Stevens, who brought immense joy to her days.
In addition to her immediate family, Christa leaves behind a community of friends and extended family who will remember her warmth and kindness.
A service to honor Christa's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 313 Shirley St. Elizabeth City, NC 27909, where her spirit and memories will be lovingly celebrated by all who knew her.

Christa was a rare gem to be found in life and i loved every minute i spent with her. Her example of goodness stood out like shining star as she always gave 100 % of herself. To say i will miss her, is an understatement. Every door she knocked on remembers her still, she is legendary in the catskills. Can't wait to see and hug her.....i will tell her then all the things i should have said over the years. Much love to you Heinz;
