Christian Joseph Greiner, 90, born on October 18, 1935, in Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, in New Palestine, Indiana, surrounded by his beloved family. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, whose life was marked by love and commitment to those around him.
Chris embarked on a successful career, founding a business with his brother Vince, Greiner Brothers. A company specialized in turn-key mechanical contracting services. Chris's work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit not only established a legacy of professionalism but also created a family business that continues to thrive under the stewardship of his children and partners.
In 1958, Chris married the love of his life, Maxine Arnold. Together they had four children, building a beautiful family that has grown through the years and generations. The pride he felt for his family was rivaled only by his joy in becoming a grandfather and great-grandfather, roles he cherished deeply.
Chris often found joy in the simple pleasures of life such as golfing, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. With a strong devotion to his faith, Chris lived as a dedicated Catholic, instilling values of love and kindness in his family. His legacy endures through the lessons he imparted, the laughter shared, and the warm memories cherished by those he leaves behind.
Chris is survived by his loving wife Maxine, daughters Rebecca Logan and Barbara (Kevin) Cox, and sons Christian (Jean) Greiner Jr. and Thomas (Jenny) Greiner, seven grandchildren; Stephen (Keriann) Logan, Matthew Logan, Erica Maginn Doss (Matthew), Katherine Lanciotti (Christopher), Rebecca Cox, Allison Greiner, Anna Greiner, and six great grandchildren; Christian Doss, Teagan Doss, Parker Doss, Georgia Logan, Aiden Lanciotti and Emmett Lanciotti.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Christian and Esther Greiner, brothers Vincent Greiner and Daniel Greiner, and sisters Carolyn Alexander and Sue McShay.
His family invites all who knew him to join them at memorial open house on November 20, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park East in Indianapolis, Indiana, as they honor the remarkable life of this devoted family man.
