Christian Barnes Huffman

Christian Barnes Huffman, 21, of Shallotte NC passed away on April 5, 2025, at Duke Medical Center after complications from surgery.

Christian was born on September 22, 2003, to Craig and Judith Allen Huffman. He graduated from West Christian Academy in 2022. He had a huge impact on everyone who knew him, and he faced life with courage, strength and grace well beyond his years. Christian enjoyed traveling, attending concerts and shopping. His presence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Christian was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Carson H Durham III and Judith S Durham and his paternal grandfather William D Huffman. He is survived by his parents, his brothers Chad B Huffman and his fiancé Erin Clough, Cameron B Huffman and his partner Nick Floyd, and his two Golden Doodles Sam and Henry. In addition, paternal grandmother, Billie Huffman, uncles, Charles H Durham Sr and his wife Sherry, Carson H Durham IV, David C Huffman and his wife Heidi, Aunt Wendy Bonar and her husband Garth. Also surviving are his cousins Madison D Stewart and her husband Jim, Holt Durham and his wife Autumn, Connor Durham, Blake Durham, Carson Durham, Jodi Murphy and her husband Jim, Jason Bonar and his wife Aimee, Brad Huffman, Corey Huffman and his wife Brooke, Bill Whiting and his wife Angie, Lauren Mercer and her husband Rob, and Jason Whiting. Christian was also blessed with a very special God Mother, Laura Thompson and many coworkers from J. Huffman, Ocean Aire Travel Park and Wing and Fish. The way he persevered and lived his life to the fullest despite the challenges he faced is truly a lesson for all of us.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Sunday, April 13 th at Brunswick Funeral Service, 5229 Ocean Highway West (HWY 17), and at the home of Craig and Judith Allen Huffman at 833 Loblolly Drive, Shallotte. The funeral service will take place on Monday, April 14 th 2:00 pm at The Odell Williamson Auditorium on the campus of Brunswick Community College, 150 College Road NE, Bolivia, North Carolina, followed by a graveside service at Brunswick Memorial Gardens.
