Born on October 10, 1952, in Atchison, Kansas, Mike lived a life full of movement, exploration, and family time. His curiosity led him far beyond Kansas, as he traveled extensively across the United States, living for periods in California and Alaska. He often brought a camera along to document his experiences.
Mike was a devoted father and proud grandfather whose love and presence will be deeply missed. He is survived by his sister Patricia, his daughter Rachel, son-in-law JP, and granddaughter Stella, who brought him immeasurable joy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Bill Huffman, and his sister Cathy.
Per Mike's wishes, no memorial service will be held. His family honors his request and encourages those who knew him to remember him in their own way-perhaps with a quiet moment outdoors, behind a camera lens, or with a margarita or Corona in hand.
