Christian J. Korczynski, 48, a resident of Raleigh, NC, passed away of natural causes at his home on July 2, 2025.
He was born on February 10, 1977, in Miami, FL, the son of Henrietta (Slawek) Korczynski and the late Erwin J. Korczynski.
Christian grew up in several cities around the world—including Miami and Fort Lauderdale, FL; Chicago, IL; Palm Springs, CA; and Dubai, United Arab Emirates—and attended Western High School in Davie, FL.
He worked in the food services industry for more than 30 years, tackling a demanding profession with lighthearted humor and a laid-back spirit. He never took himself too seriously and always found a way to bring laughter to those around him.
Christian was a hardworking, witty, and generous son, brother, uncle, and friend who never hesitated to lend a hand to those in need. He treasured time with his nieces and nephews—Emmalyn, Cooper, Morgan, Liam, and Parker—and loved rewatching childhood movies with his brother, Ryan.
A passionate sports fan, Christian especially loved the Florida Gators. One of his best memories came earlier this year when he watched the Gators win the NCAA March Madness championship.
He was predeceased by his father, Erwin Korczynski, and is survived by his mother, Henrietta Korczynski; his siblings and their spouses: Ryan and Diana Korczynski, Elizabeth and Andrew Liggett, and Kiersten Korczynski and Patrick Goodman.
