Christina Nicole Crace, 49, of Charlestown, cherished daughter, sister, aunt, and cousin, entered eternal peace at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital on September 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was welcomed into heaven by her older sister, Teresa Kasey.
Christie was born October 4, 1975, to Steve and Trina Crace, the youngest of three daughters. Her greatest joy was being with her parents. She lived each day in their loving care, never knowing life without their gentle devotion. They gave themselves fully to her happiness and comfort, building an unconditional bond of love beyond compare. While many may say Christie was blessed to have such a devoted family, it’s the family who has been truly blessed by the gift of Christie.
Those who knew Christie will remember her infectious smile, her laughing “dib-dibs,” and her sparkling eyes. She was never without her TV or DVD player. She loved her cartoons – particularly Rocky and Bullwinkle, Popeye, the Flintstones, and Scooby Doo – loved her car riding adventures and loved her room. Family get-togethers with all the noise, laughter, and food delighted her. Christie had her own style of communication, yet her love and intentions were always clear to those closest to her.
Christie is survived by her parents, Steve and Trina Crace; her sister, Stephanie Donhoff (Brian); brother-in-law, David Kasey (Angela Smith); nieces Erica Streets (Blaire), Amanda Huffmon (Luke), and Olivia Donhoff (fiancé Alex Deitz); nephews Austin Kasey (fiancé Kelsey Stockdale), Neal Donhoff (Brittany), Christopher Donhoff, and Matt Donhoff; one great niece, Hadley Donhoff; and six great nephews, Camden Streets, Nolan Streets, Reed Huffmon, Granger Huffmon, Liam Donhoff, and Wyatt Donhoff.
Although Christie’s physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. Her memory will serve as a blessing and a reminder to carry love and laughter with all that we do.
Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown. There will be a private family funeral, and Christie will be laid to rest at Crace Family Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Rauch, Inc., New Albany.
