Barbara Jean Combs, a beloved member of her family and community, passed away peacefully at her residence on November 25, 2025, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on January 12, 1957, Barbara was a radiant soul whose heart was as big as all outdoors.
She is survived by her mother, Barbara Ann Day; her devoted husband of 25 years, Russell Combs Jr., her daughter, Tammy Phillips (James), her son, Ed Wilson (Melissa) and her cherished grandchildren, Jessica Bruner, Jeremiah Bruner, Ava Thomas, Dayton Wilson, and Brianna Wilson. Barbara also leaves behind her siblings, Dennis Day (Audrey), Patricia Morin, Annette Gater, Mildred Presley, and Eugene Day. She was preceded in death by her father, and a brother, Earl Eugene Day.
Throughout her life, Barbara was known for her wonderful sense of humor and her ability to touch the lives of those around her. She never made an enemy and constantly went out of her way to help others. Hunting for Bluegill and crappie, quilting, crocheting, canning, and making persimmon pudding were just a few of the passions that brought her joy and created lasting memories with her family.
