Grayson Funeral Home - CharlestownJo Ann Dallas, born Willian on March 4, 1940, in Hodgenville, Kentucky, passed away on March 8, 2026, in Sellersburg, Indiana. Throughout her life, Jo Ann was known not only for her strong work ethic but also for her warmth and love for her family.
Jo Ann dedicated a significant part of her career to the IN Army Ammunition Plant, where she met her beloved husband, Howard T. Her and Howard were also proprietors of the Horseshoe Bar and Grill in Charlestown. Jo Ann additionally worked at Clark Memorial Hospital and North Clark Community Hospital.
An avid animal lover, Jo Ann took great pleasure in her garden, nurturing beautiful flowers that brought joy to those around her. Her love for country music often found her dancing the night away with friends, creating cherished memories that will long be remembered.
Jo Ann is survived by her son, Dewey T. Hunt of Marysville, Indiana; grandchildren Ian T. Hunt of Ricardsville, Iowa, and his spouse, Cindy L. Hunt (Jones), Cecelia M. Alexander (Hunt) of Louisville, Kentucky, and her husband, Jay Alexander; great-grandchildren Maggie M. Hunt, Callie M. Hunt, and Ellie M. Alexander; nieces Carmen, Connie, Linda, Pattie, and Kathy; as well as stepchildren Tammie Sue Jones (Dallas) of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Kim Dallas of Jeffersonville, Indiana, and Bobby Dallas of Louisiana.
Jo Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Howard T Dallas; her mother, Clara Mae Willian (Constant); her father, Virgil Willian; her brothers Kenny, Ed, Irv, and Jimmy Willian; and her sisters Helen Louise Freels Keen and Joyce Willian.
Visitation will be at Grayson Funeral Home, 893 High Street, Charlestown on Friday, April 3 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, with her memorial service at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Charlestown Cemetery.
Jo Ann Dallas' legacy lives on through her loving family and friends, who will remember her fondly for her kindness, spirit, and resounding impact on their lives.
