Jeanetta Eudora Jackson, a long-time member of the Charlestown community, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, at the age of 84. She was born on March 19, 1941, in VeVay, IN, to Herschel and Irene Gullion.
Jeanetta's life was defined by her unwavering love for her family and dedication to her work, leaving a lasting impression on those who knew her. Known for her feisty spirit and big heart, she enjoyed watching soap operas, cooking and baking for her family, camping, reading, and spending time outdoors with loved ones. For many years, she worked as a phlebotomist at the local hospital and was well-loved by her patients and co-workers. Jeanetta and Clarence were also very involved with their church and started a youth group at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Jackson, and brothers Russell Lee, Bob, Fred, Larry, and Donald Gullion.
Jeanetta is survived by her sons, Rickie (Annette), Tony (Susan), and Ronnie (Carolyn); sister Joyce Gibson; six grandchildren, Chris (Stacy) Jackson, Kyra Moses, Adrea (John) Harris, Katie (Steven) Peyton, Bailie Adams, Tyler (McKenzie) Jackson; and 14 great-grandchildren with whom she shared a special bond.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and care, deeply felt by grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry her memory forward.
The family will receive friends for her Life Celebration Service on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown. Visitation will begin at 11:00-Noon, followed by a funeral service at Noon. Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate Jeanetta’s life. Burial will follow at Charlestown Cemetery.
