Chris Schreiner of Eau Claire, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025, at her home. Her death was untimely, and our hearts are breaking, and she will be missed very much. Chris was such a strong beautiful soul. She helped so many people in her life. She was known as the person who "would give the shirt off her back". Kind, loving, compassionate are a few words used to describe her.
She was born July 13, 1965 in Chicago, Illinois to Ray Eichman and Barb (Shaddox). With many moves between Chicago to Arcadia, WI and finally lived in Eau Claire the rest of her life.
Chris married James Schreiner on July 26, 1997, at Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. Jim and Chris had a blended family. Jim's boys Jeremy Schreiner, Jesse Schreiner and Jake Schreiner, Chris's daughter Michelle Eichman. They as a family did a lot of traveling to Canada. They also loved camping and fishing.
Some of her favorite things in life were spending time with her family and friends. Her grandchildren were her world. She loved them big! She loved her Angel collection. If you ever wondered what Chris loved, they surrounded her in every inch of her home. Now she is an Angel watching over us.
Her newest love was kayaking this is where you saw her just enjoying life. Along with sitting on the deck having coffee her spirit was content. Her pets were also her little children. She loved them so much. Chris was so fun to be around. Her laugh was infectious. Her hugs were filled with love. Her heart was huge. This world will be different without her in it.
Chris is survived by her husband Jim Schreiner, sons Jeremy Schreiner, Jake (Janelle) Schreiner, daughter Michelle (Mike) Eichman; granddaughters Isabella Eichman-Harrison, Ella Schreiner and Kambria Schreiner; grandsons Zeke and Buddy Schreiner, Jesse Schreiner; her sister Rebecca (Jeff) Schreiner, nephew Nick (Kayla) Schreiner and their children Charlie and Grace; niece Laura (Garrett Brown) Schreiner and their son Levi; brothers-in-law Jan (Heidi) Schreiner, Brett Heintz and Marc Heintz, nephew Daryk Schreiner, sister-in- law Lori Schreiner, nephews Travis and Shane; mother- in-law Dawne (Dick) Schreiner-Sutton. Her very dear best friend Melissa Gardner and her children Deynm and Brandon. She also survived by many dear friends and distant relatives.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ray Eichman and Barb Massong, her sister Melody Heintz and son Jesse Schreiner.
