Ms. Martha Christine "Chris" Earle Carver, 79, of Hartwell formerly of Anderson SC, passed away Monday, May 27, 2024 at Hart Care Center.
Born on March 22, 1945 in Anderson SC, she was the daughter of the late Fred Inman Earle and Sarah Lou Hunnicutt Earle. Ms. Carver retired from Mt. Vernon Mills as a Cloth Inspector, worked as a clerk at the Haven of Rest Store in Anderson and was of the Holiness Faith. Ms. Carver loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, the Beach and Dancing.
Survivors include her daughter: Delana Maxwell (Randal) of Hartwell; a son: Keith Carver (Stacee) of Belton SC; a brother: Charles Earle of Anderson SC; eight grandchildren: Lyn Callaham, Kelly Smith, Briana Coffin, Gabriele Holly, Chance Carver, Rafe Maxwell, Reece Maxwell and Will Carver; eight great-grandchildren and a great great-grandchild also survives. Ms. Carver was preceded in death by her parents: one brother: Carl Earle and one sister: Mary Blakely.
The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at their respective homes.
Services for Ms. Christine Carver will be held Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Phillip Blankenship officiating. A private graveside will follow at the Pendleton Second Baptist Church Cemetery.
The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
