It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Christine Marie Dance, of Holbrook, age 78 after a courageous battle with cancer on July 15, 2025. Born in Boston on June 14, 1947 to Virginia (Scott) Dance and the Late Charles M. Dance Sr.
Christine was a 1965 graduate of Holbrook High School and worked as an Accountant until her retirement. Her passions were reading, spoiling her nieces and nephews and expressing her love for Boston sports. Christine was an avid baseball fan of the Boston Red Sox and her adopted team the San Francisco Giants. Her sense of humor will also be remembered and noted for sending Boston sports attire to family members in Quebec Canada but unable to in good conscience with a sly grin send Bruins merchandise to Montreal Canadien country. Christine's passion to support family and friends was exemplified during Girl Scout Cookie season where Christine enthusiastically helped her Girl Scout niece Rebecca sell cookies to her colleagues at the Crispus Attucks Children's Center in Dorchester.
Christine is survived by her mother Virginia (Scott) Dance. Her siblings Charles and wife Robin Dance of Lunenburg; her sister Joanne Dance of Plymouth. Her nephews and nieces Leonard, Shannon, Rebecca, Chayton, Jackson and Tristan and her Godchild Brien Porter.
We bid farewell to Christine and celebrate a life beautifully lived and a heart generously shared. Christine has left an indelible mark on the hearts of her family, friends and her memory will be cherished forever. At the request of the family, all services will be private.
