Virginia Lee Dance

Virginia Lee (Scott) Dance, of Holbrook, affectionately known by her loved ones as Jenny, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2025 at the age of 95. Born on July 22, 1930 in Vienna, Illinois, Jenny was the daughter of the late Theodore Scott and Mary Ruthann (Murrell) Scott.
Jenny was the loving wife of late Charles M. Dance Sr., the loving mother of the late Christine Dance of Holbrook, Charles M. Dance Jr. retired from Mass State Police and his wife Robin of Lunenburg, and Joanne E. Dance retired from Boston EMS of Plymouth.
Jenny is survived by her loving sister Mary Olive (Scott) Worlds of San Diego California, the late Lucile Scott of Brockton, William Scott of Syracuse New York, Franklin Scott of Fort Pierce, Florida.
Jenny was the cherished Grandmother of Leonard, Shannon, Rebecca, Chayton, Jackson and Tristan and loving God parent to Edward, Roxanne and Randall.
Jenny's interests reflect her love for creating beauty and her enjoyment of simple pleasures. She was a skilled craftswoman displayed and expressed through her sewing, knitting and crocheting treasures like blankets, sweaters, afghans for family and friends and a prolific puzzle solver. Her hands were rarely still, always busy with the next project that would bring comfort and joy to others. Jenny's competitive spirit was always accompanied by her infectious laughter while playing cards, or board games especially "Trouble". A family gathering was not complete without Jenny's Macaroni and Cheese.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Mass that will be celebrated on Thursday, November 6th, at 10:00 AM, in St. Joseph's Church, 153 South Franklin Street Holbrook, Ma. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, on Connery Ave., Bourne, MA.
