She was born June 23, 1944, in New Brighton, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Steve and Irene (nee Venik) Hurbanek.
She was a loving wife and mother to her husband and two sons. She enjoyed leading and organizing her sons' school events in the Parent/Teacher's Group, while they were growing up at St. Mary's Grade School and Quigley High School. In her later years, she enjoyed working as an Optician.
She is survived by her son, Douglas (Pamela) Frederick of Huntley, Illinois; her brother, Steve (Linda) Hurbanek of Southport, North Carolina; and her two grandchildren, Kiley and Blake Frederick of McHenry, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cornelius "Neil" Frederick, and son, Darrin Frederick.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church at 10307 Dundee Road in Huntley.
