Christine Mary Hobbs was born to Frank and Filomena Tyl on April 27th, 1923, in Texarkana, Texas and passed October 14th, 2025, in Richardson, Texas. She was the 5th oldest of 11 children. She married DJ Hobbs on October 1st, 1949, and raised 2 children Geneva Hazel and Lawrence Dale. She worked in retail at various stores and then moved on to Hobbs Sewing Center and worked there for many years until it closed in 1998. She was known to all as "Grandma" and was kind, loving, outspoken, and God fearing. She welcomed everybody at her house always with a hot meal on the stove. She always kept and loved on her dogs Mickey, Rufus, Maggie and others.

She is survived by her sister Evelyn Horne, Grandchildren; Lawrence Dale Jr. and Ximena Hobbs, Breck and Bonnie Schmidt, Donovan and Stephanie Schmidt, Jeanna and David McDonald, Jenika Eikenbary and Alex Lopez, Kristi Ryan and many nieces, nephews, Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Frank and Filomena Tyl, Husband; DJ Hobbs, Stepchildren; Lawrence Dale Hobbs, and Geneva Hazel Whitington, Brothers; Jerry Tyl, Emil Tyl, Frankie Tyl, Robert Tyl, and Albert Tyl, Sisters; Helen Bruce, Julia Zamora, Catherene Bush, and Margueritte Zamora.
