In Loving Memory of Harry Kelly McKenzie
May 7, 1960 – October 11, 2025

Harry Kelly McKenzie was born on May 7, 1960, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Harry McKenzie Sr. and Shirley Ann Pilot McKenzie Holt. From a young age, Harry's life was marked by creativity, humor, and an undeniable talent for music and the arts. A natural comedian and musical genius, he could light up any room with laughter or move hearts with his music.

Harry was a 3rd-degree black belt, a true master in discipline and focus, which reflected in every part of his life-from his art to his relationships. His humor, compassion, and love for his family made him unforgettable to everyone who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry McKenzie Sr. and Shirley Ann Pilot McKenzie Holt; his stepfather, Randy Lewis Holt; and his siblings, Teenya McKenzie, Sheldon McKenzie, Julie McKenzie Moses, and Mark McKenzie.

Harry leaves to cherish his memory his beloved siblings: Shirley D. McKenzie, Karen L. McKenzie Fort, and Randee M. Holt Seals; his devoted brothers-in-law, Miceal Fort and Daniel Seals; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family who adored him.

Harry was also a proud and loving father to eight beautiful children: Justin Lee, Shari McKenzie, Charity McKenzie, Destiny McKenzie, Harry McKenzie Jr., Serenity McKenzie, and Heavenly McKenzie. His legacy continues through his children, grandchildren, and countless loved ones whose lives he touched with his humor, kindness, and creative spirit.

Harry will be deeply missed and forever loved. Though his laughter may now echo in heaven, his spirit and music will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
