Christine Sue Jones, age 77, of Chillicothe, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025 at The Loft of East Peoria.
Christine was born on December 21, 1947 in Galesburg, IL to William T. and Cora Eleanor (Mundy) Reader. She married Ivan Eugene Jones on February 7, 1969 in Peoria, IL. He preceded her in death on June 7, 2025. Also preceding her in death are her parents and her son, Ronald Jones.
Surviving are her sister, Sharon Camper of East Peoria, IL; her brother, Stephen (Cheryl) Reader of East Moline, IL; and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are two special cousins whom Christine grew up with, Terry Mundy-Coleman of Bloomington, IL and Mark Mundy of Mesa, AZ.
Christine worked for Commerce Bank for over 30 years, when she retired. She was an active member of St. Edward Catholic Church and sang in the church choir. Christine also enjoyed reading, knitting and crocheting.
Cremation rites will be accorded and a graveside service will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 1pm at Chillicothe City Cemetery. Memorials in her name may be made to The Loft of East Peoria Activity Department or the ARK in Lacon. Arrangements are under the care of Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
