Christine Kirby

Christine Kirby, age 79, of Pea Ridge Road in Irvine, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026, at the Irvine Nursing and Rehab Center following a short illness. She was born December 28, 1946, in Estill County, and was the daughter of the late Joe Kirby and Maggie Johnson Kirby. She was a Homemaker and a member of the Valley View Baptist Church. She had lived in Estill County all her life. She is survived by:

2 half-sisters: Maye Lee Holland and Beth Noble

3 half-brothers: Carl Kirby, Doug Kirby, and Joe Kirby

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Donald Norton, and 4 sisters, Pauline Melton, Mamie Dawes, Nannie Jean Melton, and Cleo Kirby

Graveside services will be conducted Monday, February 23, 12 PM, at the Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rick Harris officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.
