Christine Kueber

Christine Kueber (Nowakowski) beloved by all, age 89, died unexpectedly on Friday, November 7, 2025. Christine was born in Detroit, Michigan and lived in the area for her whole life, making Dearborn and Dearborn Heights home for her family. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Education from Marygrove College in Detroit. She was a school teacher before she had children. Having a big family was very important to her and she gave everything to being a great wife and raising her children. Her love of education continued and she went back to school when her children were older getting Master's degree in Music Theory from University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Her love of music was felt and heard by many throughout her life. She played the piano, was the Organist for St. Anselm's Church for many years and sang with the choir. She was a very holy woman and a devout Catholic. She shared prayers and the word of God; she prayed the rosary daily and led bible study for many years. She loved flowers, especially roses and cared for a beautiful rose garden in her backyard. She is survived by her husband, Roland Kueber; her seven children: Marge Clarke, Kathleen Marcotulli, Father Michael Kueber, Mark Kueber (Jenifer), Paul Kueber (Dawn), Janet Sgro (Steven), and Mary Claire Dilks (David); grandchildren: Benjamin Clarke (Jessica), Rachael Gize (Joseph), Andrew Clarke, Heather Lindsey (Cornelius), Jacob Kueber (Gina), Samuel Kueber, Noah Kueber (Julia), Grace Kueber, Lily Kueber, Vincent Sgro, Sofia Sgro, Jasper Dilks, and great grandchildren: Hendrik Clarke, Colette Clarke, Logan Lindsay, Taylor Lindsay and Roman Lindsay. She is also survived by her sister Ellen Jones (Bruce), sister-in-law Karen Nowakowski, and Mary Ann Nowakowski.
Visitation will be at Voran funeral home in Dearborn from 4:30-7:30 on Monday, November 10th, the rosary prayed at 7pm. The funeral mass will be at St. Anselm Church on Tuesday November 11th at 10am. A gathering will be held after for coffee and light snacks in the St. Anselm's meeting room. The burial will be for immediate family only at All Saints Cemetery in Waterford. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Anselm's Church.
