Christine M. Passaretti

Christine Passaretti, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2025. Born Christina Mary Munnelly on December 23, 1933, in County Mayo, Ireland, she was the second oldest of nine children born to Theresa and John Munnelly.
At the courageous age of 16, Christina embarked on a new chapter of her life, immigrating to New York. It was there that she found and married the love of her life, Salvatore Passaretti. Together, they built a beautiful life and family, raising two daughters, Patricia (Pearson) and Elaine (Salierno) on Long Island.
Christina's life was defined by her unwavering devotion to her family. Her nurturing spirit extended to her four cherished grandchildren, Laura, Nicholas, Christopher, and Michael, whom she adored. She was always ready to offer a comforting meal, a helping hand with chores, a captivating story, or simply unconditional love and support.
Her passions included gardening, shopping, staying informed with the daily newspaper, and savoring a good cup of coffee. She was also blessed with five great-granddaughters, Alexa, Olivia, Ruby, Francesca, and Vivianne, whom she played an instrumental role in caring for, creating lasting memories and bonds.
Christina held a deep and abiding love for her siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family. Her devotion was unwavering, and her presence will be profoundly missed. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy of love, strength, and unwavering family devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
