Christine E. Robinson, known affectionately as Chris or Chrissy to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2024, surrounded by her husband and three children after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on April 18, 1950, in Newton, Iowa, Chris's zest for life and unwavering support for her loved ones marked the essence of her 74 years.
She was the beloved wife of Craig, with whom she shared an enduring 31-year bond of love and companionship. Together, as best friends, they navigated the waters of life, quite literally, through their shared passion for cruising the world. Their voyages took them to distant shores, but the greatest journey they embarked on was that of their life together, filled with laughter, discovery, and the creation of cherished memories.
A devoted mother, Chris's pride and joy were her children, Rob and his wife Linda, Brian and his wife Miriam, and Monica and her husband Jim. Her role as a mother was one she cherished deeply, providing unwavering support and embodying the role of both mentor and friend.
Her guiding light continued to shine on her grandchildren, Brayden (13), Hazel (12), Nolan (10), Sophie (6), and Ida (1), whom she adored with all her heart. Each grandchild was a unique spark in her life, and she celebrated their milestones and achievements with boundless enthusiasm.
Before she became a wife or mother, she was a caring and supportive big sister. She is survived by Barbara, Erica, and Aaron, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond of love.
Chris's life was a precious gift to all who knew her, and her memory and contagious smile will be treasured forever. We are grateful for the time we shared with her and for the love she bestowed upon us all. As we honor her memory, we hold close the essence of her being - her resilience, her generosity, and her unwavering positivity which will continue to guide us and carry us forward for the rest of our lives.
A private celebration of Chris's Life will be held.
