Christine M. Scarpato, age 69 of Wilmington, DE passed away on May 27, 2024 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Born in Chester, PA. Christine resided for the past year in Wilmington, DE, previously residing for 10 years in Clearwater, FL and prior was a longtime resident of Upper Chichester, PA. Christine worked as a cashier for B&C Variety at Booths Corner Farmers Market for many years and also for the Chichester School District in food service. She enjoyed going to the casino, watching soap operas, especially General Hospital, going to dinner, the beach and crabs. Christine also loved her cats and being with her grandkids. In her earlier years, she enjoyed her pony. In addition to her parents, Anthony and Mary Bernard DeFrank, Christine is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Scarpato Jr. who died in 2021, daughter, Anne Marie Scarpato who died in 2018 and a brother, Anthony DeFrank. She is survived by two children, Lawrence (Danielle Wood) Scarpato III and Martin (Tammy) Scarpato, three siblings, Michael DeFrank, Marian Leamy and Cathy Micun, five grandchildren, Erica Patterson, Martin and Andrew Scarpato, Stephen and Andrew Wood. A visitation will be held on Friday, 2-3PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 3:00PM. Interment will be held privately.
