August 7, 2024
Christine Ann Schultz, 71, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday, August 7th, 2024, due to pneumonia. She was born December 7, 1952, in Syracuse, NY to Herbert & Eva Raven. Christine lived her life the best she knew and left this earth wishing that her children would find safety in this mixed-up world. While our hearts mourn the loss, we take comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering.
Christine loved to love people. She sewed dolls and crocheted constantly. Her hands were rarely still. And she loved her coffee! She spent much of her life in the Syracuse, NY area except for a few years where she lived in Kernersville, NC.
Christine was a stay-at-home mother, spending time with her two daughters, Tina Hopkins (47) and Daisy Mauro (44). It suited her big heart to be with family. Christine was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Nanny. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere she went.
Christine was predeceased by her two older brothers, Herbert Jr and Lyle. She is survived by her two daughters, Tina & Daisy; her three younger siblings, two brothers, Richard & John Raven, and one sister, Charlotte Manning; her six grandchildren, Krystal, Hailey, Dakota, David, Kari & Justin; her seven great-grandchildren, Leo, Charlotte, Gatlyn, Riley, Donna, Myles & Kinsley, many nephews and nieces all of which she loved deeply.
Calling hours to celebrate Christina's life will be Friday, August 23 from 12 pm to 1 pm, at the Carter Funeral Home 1604 Grant Blvd, Syracuse, NY 13208.
