Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home - CalhounChristine “Michelle” Stafford, 57, of Resaca, Georgia, passed away on October 2, 2025. She was born in Lakeland, Florida, on June 24, 1968, to Linda Crosby and the late Allen Frances Smith. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Olivia Stafford, and brother-in-law, Ronald Roberson.
Michelle is survived by her husband of 35 years, Terry Stafford; sons, Adam Burns (Chrissy), Bruce Higgins, David Higgins (Amanda), and Brandon Stafford (Teysha); daughters, Christy Chapman (Dale), Hailey Stafford, and Heather Stout (Garett); mother, Linda Crosby (Dyane); brothers, Ricky Garnett (Lisa), Travis Smith (LeaAngela), and Wilson Garnett (Tabitha); sister, Tina Mathis; grandchildren, Lee, Jaylan, Jayliegh, Tate, Lizzy, Everliegh, Waylon, Roslyn, Nash, Knox, Colt, Addyson, Krystyn, Kada, Leighkyn, Anna, Asher, David, Hannah, Angel, and Bruce; father-in-law, Grady Stafford; special friends, Tammie Kirby, Amie Chitwood, and Julia Barnett; several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 5, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Kirby officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers are Wilson Garnett, Travis Smith, Dale Chapman, Jaylan Mabe, Tandon Mabe, and Larry McRee. Honorary pallbearers are Brandon Stafford, Garret Scout, and Ricky Garnett.
The Brannon family and staff are honored to serve the family of Christine “Michelle” Stafford.
