Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home - CalhounKaren Ingle Parrott, “Mimi”, 75 years old of Calhoun, Ga, passed away Friday, October 3rd, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her family. Her faith has now become sight.
She was born in Rome, Georgia on November 4th, 1949, to the late Robert and Laverne Ingle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Ingle.
Karen is survived by her loving husband, Russell Parrott “Paw” of nearly 30 years. Her daughter, Kacee Currence (John), her sons, Erik Offutt, Jason Parrott and Shane Parrott (Resa) all of Calhoun.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ty Parrott, Drew Parrott, Matthew Parrott, Grace Parrott, Ella Offutt and Kole Offutt. In addition to her grandchildren, she was known as Mimi to countless others who loved her. Multiple cousins, nieces, and nephews also survive.
Karen spent her entire adult life working in the local banking industry, where she served many citizens of Calhoun. She loved serving each of them. If you ever met her, you could not help to feel loved.
Karen was a born-again believer and follower of Jesus Christ and was a faithful member of Heritage Baptist Church. She served faithfully until her death on the church bereavement team.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 6th from 11:00am-3:00pm at Heritage Baptist Church, 345 Curtis Parkway Calhoun Ga, 30701.
The funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00pm at Heritage Baptist Church, With Rev. Shane Parrott and Dr. Bert Vaughn officiating.
The family would like to thank Dr Mody and his entire staff for loving our Mimi and providing the best care possible. We’d also like to thank Compassus Hospice for their compassionate care for her.
Flowers will not be turned away but Karen would encourage us all in lieu of flowers to donate to The Northwest Georgia chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association which was extremely important to her. These donations can be made by mail to 922 East Morris Street, Dalton Ga, 30721.
