Christine Belle Gurley Stancil, 59, of Mount Gilead, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Christine was born October 7, 1963 in Charlotte, North Carolina to the late George Robert Gurley and the late Martha Stancil Gurley.
She was also preceded in death by husband, Willie May Stancil, Sr.; and children, Lessie Belle Stancil, Archie James Stancil and Robert Gurley.
The funeral service will be on Monday, February 20, 2023 at 3:00pm at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle. Burial will follow at the Stancil Family Cemetery.
Survivors include son, Willie May Stancil, Jr. of Mount Gilead, NC; daughter, Betty Stancil Locklear; grandchildren, Lessie Anne Stancil, Isabelle Nicole Stancil, and Willie May Stancil, III, and numerous other grandchildren; sister, Eloise Hathcock; brother, Ben Gurley; nephew, Hunter Lee Gurley and Justin Adam Hathcock.
Christine was a hardworking but easygoing woman who was always willing to help those who truly needed it. She loved being outside, fishing, needlework and most of all her family.
