Christine Stuart, age 72, of North Port, passed away on February 17th, 2026, surrounded by the love of her children, leaving a void that can never be filled. She was a woman of rare grace, unfiltered strength and a one-of-a-kind spirit who left an indelible mark on every soul she touched. She was a true woman of God and her faith never wavered even during some of the most difficult times of her life.
To those who knew her, Christine was more than just a mother, sister, friend, and grandmother; she was a North Star. She possessed a heart that felt like home and a resilience that inspired everyone around her. Even in her final days, her strength was immense, and the bond she shared with her children and grandchildren was the greatest joy of her life. To her family, she was the steady heart and the fiercest protector. She taught us that kindness isn't weakness and that standing your ground is just as important as lending a hand.
Whether she was tending her garden or cracking a joke, she did it with a spirit that was entirely her own. Our hearts are completely crushed by this extraordinary woman, as there will truly never be another like her. She lived a life with a fun loving spirit. She taught us that love is an intentional action and her legacy is found in the kindness she scattered throughout her life.
She is survived by her devoted son and daughter, Jason Moore and Sarah Glass, who loved her beyond measure, as well as her brother Mike Stuart and grandchildren Jane and Mark Glass Jr. She also had quite the community of friends who were better for knowing her. She was preceded in her passing by her parents Dorothy and Edward Stuart.
A service to showcase and celebrate her extraordinary legacy will be held on February 26th, 2026 at Baldwin Funeral Home in Port Charlotte. We invite all who loved her to join us in honoring a life that was truly a gift to this world. We hope you will bring your favorite stories of her kindness (and sass) to share with us.
