Megan Stuart Obituary

Visit the Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel website to view the full obituary.

Megan Virginia (Miller) Stuart passed away on February 16, 2026 at the age of 45. She was born in Xenia, Ohio on February 19, 1980 to Frances and Thomas Miller.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Frances Avery (Babcock) Miller, her aunt, Debra (Miller) Chamberlain, and her uncle, Thomas Babcock.

Megan is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Stuart, her father, Thomas Miller, her sister, Kasey (Aimee) Miller, and step-daughters, Robin Brown, Jessica Theis, and Baylee Stuart. Also surviving are mother- and sister-in-law, Peggy and Debby Stuart, and paternal aunts, uncles, and cousins. Megan also leaves behind her dogs Lola and Skippy and longtime friend, Jason Shaw.

Megan had a BIG personality and has left a definite void in the lives of everyone she knew. She was open, kind, and accepting; within ten minutes of meeting her, she had offered you food, drink, and a place to crash just in case. Megan was fiery and passionate and cared deeply about her people and her beliefs. She was a fighter you wanted in your corner because you knew she had your back in whatever way she could. She was not ashamed to throw either hands or shade when the situation called for it.

Megan was a master conversationalist and storyteller with an eclectic sense of humor. She could entertain you for hours with stories that kept you on the edge of your seat and nearly crying from laughter all at once. More importantly, she was a compassionate listener who made you feel heard and that you mattered.

Megan attended Spring Hill Elementary, Central Junior High, and Xenia High School, graduating in 1998. During her school years, she explored many activities until she discovered one she excelled at and truly loved: singing. Music was always a central part of Megan’s life, and she delighted in sharing her gift and passion for it with others as a performer in various school vocal ensembles and musical productions. She went on to attend Wright State University, where she studied psychology.

Megan met her lifemate, Bill, in 2000, and they were married in 2004. Their marriage was a partnership built on love, unwavering support, and shared dreams for the future. Through the highs and lows of life, they stood by each other with compassion and joy, creating a home filled with laughter and warmth. She embraced the role of stepmother with ease and helped Bill raise his three daughters.

In her mid-twenties, Megan was diagnosed with epilepsy, which altered many of her plans, but she refused to let it diminish her resolve to live life on her own terms. A voracious reader and a treasure trove of facts on medieval British history, she never met a dog she didn’t adore and cherished several beloved pups over the years. She was David Bowie’s ultimate fan. She will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held from 2:00pm-3:00pm on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd, Beavercreek), where funeral services will begin at 3:00pm.
