Christine Fixmer Tracy Age 45, died on January 28th, 2024 In Riverton, UT. She was born on October 9th, 1978 in Murray, UT to Larry and Shirley Fixmer.
She married Thomas Tracy on January 6th, 2001 and they were sealed in the temple for eternity on February 22nd, 2003.
Christine's early years were difficult for her, but she came out of it a stronger person, which was an apparent trait to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was very thoughtful and tender, and would go out of her way to let you know she was thinking of you.
She told many stories of the bunny, Samantha, that she rescued. When she found Samantha being peed on and bullied by her bunny siblings, Christine protected and took her in. Samantha was so beloved to her.
She loved it when her daddy came home. She adored her dad, and her mom and dad adored her too. They were always there for her during her hardest times.
She was the 5th child out of 6, and was a truly great big sister to her one younger sibling, Michelle, who was her "little buddy", and watched over and stood up for Michelle. Christine was a feisty woman who would stand up to anybody who hurt Michelle, and told her children stories of how she beat up bullies in high school. She really tried to protect her classmates who were picked on.
In the years following graduation, she worked at Utah School for the Deaf & Blind. She was a very helpful and tender person. Her family remembers how proud she was of her students that she helped.
Christine spent her last months on earth battling cancer, and while doing so she spent her time indexing and family history for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
One defining thing about Christine was her love of music. She was a big fan of The Cure, Depeche Mode, and many other alternative 80s bands. She had a large collection of CDs. This love has been passed down to her children who now love similar music.
Her children remember her love of games, she played many computer games and was very good at it. She loved classic games like Tetris and Zuma. She played console games with her son, Carson, and was overall a very tech savvy woman.
But above all, she was a wife and mother. Her husband called her "Chrissy" and they went on many adventures together. She enjoyed going on hikes with her husband and exploring Utah when she had the chance.
They raised 3 children together through thick and thin. She sacrificed so much for her children, much more than any of us could truly understand. Christine always managed to make holidays special to let her children know she loved them. She did everything she could to keep them safe from harm, and sure tried her best to raise difficult teenagers! She never stopped trying to be a good mother, and her children are grieving her loss immensely. She found out about the upcoming birth of her first grandchild about a month before her passing, she was very excited. He will someday hear many stories of her and the wonderful grandma he would have had.
She is survived by her husband Thomas; three children: Alexis, Alec, and Carson; parents, Larry and Shirley; siblings: Paul, Laura, Brent, Mark, and Michelle; and a future grandson who will be born in August of 2024. There were many people who loved her and will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John & Katherine Fixmer, Keith & Argie Ricker, and Lucille Ricker.
