CHRISTINE MARIE “CHRISTY” WRIGHT March 25, 1971 – December 2, 2023
Christy Wright passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on December 2, 2023 at her home in Las Vegas, Nevada. Born on March 25, 1971 in Panorama City, California, she was only 52 years old.
Christy was an amazing, devoted and courageous single mother who gave everything she had for her beloved 11-year-old daughter, Kylie, showing her boundless love and nurturing every facet of her life. Their unbreakable bond could not have been stronger. She was quite simply the best mom. Her daughter was her proudest accomplishment and greatest joy.
Anyone who met Christy liked her instantly. Anyone who truly knew Christy loved her unconditionally. Her beautiful smile and contagious laughter lit up every place that she went. She had an energy and presence that could not be ignored.
Christy’s well-known, selfless generosity began in early childhood and extended not only to her family and her dear friends, but to people she didn’t even know. She was a genuine advocate for the homeless and other people in need, never shying away from offering money or a helping hand. She very often wrote complimentary letters and five-star reviews for people who she encountered in all kinds of situations and walks of life. Her frequent gifts were always perfectly thoughtful and meaningful.
Also legendary was her immense love and compassion for animals, especially cats. Christy gave to many animal advocacy organizations and was personally responsible for saving the lives of several dozen stray and feral cats, by rescuing them, spaying and neutering them (TNR), relocating them or by taking them in herself.
Christy was driven by a tireless passion for knowledge, education and acquiring new skillsets, which resulted in a number of professional and entrepreneurial endeavors. Among her achievements were Certifications as a Nutritional Consultant, a Master Herbalist and a Holistic Health Practitioner.
After having a successful modeling career, she became a licensed California Real Estate Agent for over 20 years, and had recently obtained her Nevada Real Estate License after moving to Las Vegas, as well as becoming a Certified Notary Public, intending to specialize in notarizing home loans.
Along the way, Christy had also become an expert candle maker, (although she gave away most of her unique creations to family, friends and acquaintances.) Her interests in beauty and health led her to become a Certified Sunless Tanning Practitioner (creating “Better Way Bronzing and Wellness,”) and a Certified Teeth Whitening Specialist (resulting in “The Glo Pro Teeth Whitening” salon.) She was looking forward to a future of endless opportunities.
She loved all types of music, movies, art and taking her daughter to parks, gyms, art classes and other stimulating activities. Her impressive natural talent as an interior decorator was well known to those who knew her. Her daughter’s brilliance and artistic talent come directly from Christy. Above all, she loved being with her cherished daughter, Kylie.
Christine Marie Wright was preceded in death by her brother, William “Billy” Wright IV, her father, Richard Kephart and her mother, Michele Wright.
She is survived by her daughter, Kylie Marie Wright, her sister, Caroline Rudziewicz, her nieces Ashley Rudziewicz and Amber Pleth, her nephews Zachary Rudziewicz and Michael Steed, her stepfather, William “Bill” Wright III and her very close friends.
Our profound sadness and grief can only be comforted by the privilege, the gift and the joy of being able to share her life for the time we were given. Christy will forever be in our hearts.
A private viewing will take place at Las Vegas Cremations, 5555 W. Charleston Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89146 on Friday, February 2, 2024 beginning at 1pm, followed by a public memorial service at 2:30pm.
