David J Wright

David Jerome Wright, 57 years old, of Spartanburg, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, January 24, 2026, in Landrum, South Carolina.

David was born on April 30, 1968, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He was the son of Jerome J. Wright and Sandra M. Forbes.

David graduated from Boiling Springs High School in 1986. He worked at Toledo Scales until they closed and then went to work for Michelin. David enjoyed fishing and golf and he loved music. He was truly a kind, compassionate, and loving man to all who knew him.

He is survived by his mother, Sandra M. Forbes; stepmother, Debra J. Wright; daughters, Erika A. Clark and husband, Jameson, and Caitlin N. Wright; sister, Pamela OSullivan and husband, Larry; stepsister, Allison Blackwell and husband, Donald; precious grandsons, Brantley Michael Clark and Mason Robert Clark; several nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jerome J. Wright; stepfather, Harry L Forbes (Skip); grandmothers, Evermae W. Wright and Vernie P. Cassidy; grandfathers, Floyd Oscar Wright and Henry F. Morrison, Sr.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 11:00AM, in the chapel of the Church at the Mill, 4455 Anderson Mill Rd., Moore, S.C. with Rev. Asheton Amerson officiating. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service.
