Christopher B. Allen, Sr., 44, of Gloversville, NY, passed away on Monday December 30th, 2024, at home unexpectedly.
He was born in Broadalbin, NY on June 9th, 1980, and was the son of Herbie & Zella Allen. He spent a long career as a roofer, and he also worked as a "Bucker" at Kas & Kel. Christopher spent 29 years with his companion Nicole Baurle. They had four children together, Tahea Graudons (Ulysses), Christopher Allen Jr (Abigayle), Cheyanne Allen, Chloe Allen (Camren), and also a bonus son Mason Lobdell. He also had the joys of being a POPPY to his Granddaughter Gianna Kathan (AKA POPPY'S PRINCESS). He was four out of nine siblings. Survivors include brothers Scott Allen, Herbie (Wanda) Allen, Cola (Rachel) Allen, Charlie (Melinda) Allen, Joshua (Halannah) Allen, Joseph (Crystal) Allen; Sisters Joanie (Erv) Allen & Deanne (Benjamin) Correll; and a Sister-In-law Janessa Lewis. Also surviving is the woman he considers as his bonus mom, Christine Graudons. Christopher loved fishing, especially with his nephew Isaiah (Alanna) Dimartino, and they spent countless hours on fishing trips. He also enjoyed watching football; he was a die-hard fan for the Buffalo Bills!!! GO BILLS!! Christopher also loved all his nieces and nephews, but he held a special bond with Dylan (Maria) Miller, Ashely (Jacob) Cook, and Racheal Allen.
His family is deeply saddened by his sudden death. They would like to send a message to those who may suffer from mental health, "Much better days lie ahead for you. Love yourself. Know that you are loved, worthy, deserving and capable. You've got what it takes".
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 2pm to 3pm at Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, NY 12078.
