Christopher Ayers Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Alabama Funeral Homes and Cremation Centers - Opelika on Dec. 10, 2025.
Christopher "Jason" Ayers passed away peacefully at home in Opelika, Alabama, on Saturday, December 6th, 2025, at the age of 53.

Jason was born on September 2, 1972, in Carrollton, Georgia, to the late David and Kay Ayers.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Rhonda Ayers, his son Chase Holloway (Miranda), and his stepdaughter Rachel Cooper (Adam). Jason was blessed with nine beautiful grandchildren who brought tremendous joy into his life. He is also survived by his sister Kim Eason (Kevin) and brother Keith Ayers (Sharon); his mother-in-law Barbara Harney; his sisters-in-law Robin Hill and Theresa Cartee (Robert); and his brother-in-law Joe Hanson. Jason also leaves behind several beloved nieces and nephews.

Jason loved the Lord deeply and lived with a quiet, steadfast faith. He was fortunate to be surrounded throughout his life by many dear friends-men who were not just friends, but brothers. His humor, his heart, and his unwavering loyalty made him someone people could depend on.

He was greatly loved, and he will be dearly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Union Hill Baptist Church, 13631 County Rd 10, Ranburn, AL 36273, on Saturday, December 13th.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. (Central Time).

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to everyone who donated to Jason's GoFundMe account. Your kindness, generosity, and love have provided comfort during an incredibly difficult time, and your support will never be forgotten.

A message from Jason's family:
We knew this day would come, but it came far too soon. Jason fought hard, and though he was in great pain these last few weeks, he never lost his strength or his faith. Our hearts are broken, yet we are grateful for every moment we shared with him. Thank you for surrounding our family with love, prayers, and support. Jason's legacy of kindness, humor, and loyalty will live on in all of us.
