Christopher R. Baker
Age 40 of Wilmington
Passed away February 11, 2024.
Chris was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware. He was a graduate of Corpus Christi Grade School and McKean High School. He was a dedicated employee of Blockbuster Video until their closing. His upbeat and charismatic personality made him a perfect fit for any retail sales position.
Chris had a passion for skiing and loved sailing on his aunt's sailboat. In his down time, Chris enjoyed playing video games and simply being with his family. He had a huge heart and was the "go to" guy. His family will greatly miss his bubbly, funny, and caring personality.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mary and Raymond Doyle, and his cousin, Michael Hoover.
Chris leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother, Noreen Baker; his aunts, Patricia Hoover and Mary Doyle; his uncle, David Glose; his cousins, Ryan Hoover, Maureen Curry (Greg); and his second cousins, Declan and Colin Curry. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Miles.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Rd., Wilm., DE 19808, on Thursday, Feb 22 at 12:00pm. Friends may call at the church from 11:00am-12:00pm. Interment will take place at All Saints Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions to be made in Chris' name to the American Heart Association, 131 Continental Dr # 407, Newark, DE 19713.
