It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Christopher "Chris" Brockman, aged 62, of Louisville, Kentucky, who departed from this world on Thursday, August 14, 2025.
Chris was a pillar of love and devotion within his family. He embraced the roles of husband, father, pawpaw, brother, uncle, and friend with great passion and dedication. His leisure hours were often spent indulging in NASCAR races, casting lines while fishing, and creating masterpieces through woodworking. His love for his dogs was profound and heartwarming. A true jack of all trades, Chris took great pride in his diverse skills, particularly in welding, dairy farming, and driving tow trucks. His unique sense of humor enlivened the spirits of everyone around him, leaving a lasting impression on all those fortunate enough to know him.
Born on August 24, 1962, in Louisville, Chris was the cherished son of Owen and Sara (Scott) Brockman. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Herman (Edna) Scott and Herman (Neatta) Brockman; his uncle, Orphy Brockman; his nephew, Robby Brockman; and his granddaughter, Ariel Rose Brockman.
Left to honor his memory are his devoted wife of 35 years, Iris Chrissy Brockman; their sons, Christopher (Marissa) Brockman, Cody (Cheyan) Brockman, and Curtis Brockman; and his treasured grandchildren, Danielle, David, Allyson, and Alexis. He is also survived by his brother, Robert (Kathy) Brockman; sister-in-laws, Teresa Spencer and Theresa (Nick) Oller; along with nephews Scotty, Cory, Timmy; niece Megan; and a wide circle of extended family and friends who will forever hold his memory dear.
Visitation to celebrate Chris's life will be held from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy. A Funeral Service will follow at 4:00 pm at the same location.
