Robert L. Brockman, a cherished member of the Rochester community and devoted family man, passed away on January 31, 2026, at the age of 50. Born on January 18, 1976, in Rochester, Robert was the proud son of Marvin L. Brockman, who predeceased him in 1993, and Beverly K. Brockman, who survives him.
Throughout his life, Robert established himself not only as a owner of Brockman's Flooring but also as a loving father and an extraordinary person. He was deeply proud of his children: his beloved daughters, Tyasia C. and Chauntell K. Brockman, and his son, Robert J. Brockman Jr., brother Jacob Trim. Robert took immense joy in being a father and celebrated the accomplishments and milestones of his children as some of his proudest achievements.
Robert was a man known for his warm heart and loving spirit. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness that touched the lives of many. He had a special bond with a large extended family that included numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, reflecting the deep connections he fostered throughout his life. Additionally, he took great delight in the laughter and love shared with his two grandsons and one granddaughter, who were a source of immense joy for him.
The loss of Robert is felt profoundly, not only by his family but also by the many friends and acquaintances whose lives he enriched with his genuine kindness and unwavering support. His sister, Amy Pantling, who passed away in 2017, was remembered fondly by Robert, and their bond remains a testament to the love that he carried for those who have gone before him.
A viewing for Robert will take place on February 9, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, Westside, located at 2636 Ridgeway Ave, Rochester, NY. Following the viewing, a funeral service will be held at the same location at 12:00 PM, honoring a life filled with love, strength, and dedication to family. Robert L. Brockman will be missed dearly but will forever be remembered through the hearts and memories of all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, especially in the love of his mother, children, grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
