Christopher A. Carrozzo, 78, a proud native of
Waterbury, CT passed away peacefully on Friday, September 6, 2024 at the Jacobi Medical Center in Bronx, NY with his adoring family by his side.
Chris was born on October 22, 1945 in
Waterbury, CT, of the late Christy and Anna (Santoro) Carrozzo. He was a 1964 graduate of Wilby High School and earned his Associate Degree in business from the Cambridge School of Business in Boston, MA in 1966. He proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1967 to 1973. Chris had a rewarding career as a chemical salesman for over 40 years at Hubbard-Hall in Waterbury. He was a member of the Small Manufacturers Association of Waterbury and loved golfing at Forest Glen Country Club in Naples, FL Chris valued the importance of giving back which began as an alter boy and continued to do so through the Waterbury Lodge of Elks BPOE #265 and the Knights of Columbus in FL.
Chris was married to Andrea Carrozzo of Plainville, CT for 34 years and they lovingly brought Terri Ann Parks and Emily B. Dickson, both of Southington, CT into this world. Chris cherished his daughters and son in laws, Erik Parks, Nicholas Dickson and John Halligan with all of his heart. He was blessed to find love again in his beloved lifetime partner, Marie Greco of Shelton CT, where they shared 20 fun filled years together, traveling on cruises and to Italy and creating a beautiful blended family with all of Marie's children- Tracy Capizzuto and her husband, Jimmy, Carrie Guarino and her husband, Michael, Tommy Greco and his wife, Heather and grandchildren Spencer and Molly Dickson, Bella, Luc and Will Guarino, Tommy, Jimmy, Danny and Michael Capizzuto, and Sloane and Teagan Greco together as one.
Chris was a faith filled man who cherished his Catholic religion and Italian traditions, especially with his sister, Emma Barone and her husband, Fred of Prospect, CT. He will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephew- Natalie Lawlor and her husband, Brigadier General John P. Lawlor, Debbie Esposito and her husband, Jay and Dr. William Collins.
Chris was the classiest host- making sure everyone had a drink in hand, a dish full of pasta e fagioli or linguine with mussels and clams at his Cape Cod home. He especially enjoyed his vodka, cigars, and many meals with his dear friends, Rick and Joanne Maccione and the rest of the crew, Eddie, Jane, Michelle, Joe, John and Maureen.
In his honor Chris's family will carry on the traditions to continue to make him proud.
Arrangements: Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway,
Waterbury, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated the following day at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 309 South Main St.,
Waterbury, CT. Please meet directly at the church. Burial of his cremains with full military honors will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery,
Waterbury, CT.
