In loving memory of Christopher Wheeler, 45, who was affectionately known as Chris to his family and friends. Born on September 27, 1978, in Palestine, Texas, and tragically taken from us far too soon on February 13, 2024, in Albuquerque.
Chris was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many with his kind and caring nature. His journey in this world was marked by significant achievements and a profound impact on those around him. He graduated from Klein Oak High School in Klein, Texas, in 1997, and later pursued his passion for business by obtaining a BBA, Management Information Systems from the University of Texas at Austin in 2003.
During his illustrious career at Amazon spanning eight years, Chris's innovative spirit led him to create seven patents—a testament to his ingenuity and dedication. His work ethic and commitment inspired all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Chris embraced life with zeal and enthusiasm. He found joy in playing Diablo video games on PlayStation and exploring new culinary delights at restaurants with cherished family members and friends. His vibrant personality shone brightly wherever he went—a true beacon of positivity.
Chris will forever be remembered as a loving soul with a compassionate heart. His presence brought warmth and comfort to those in need, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate to cross paths with him.
He leaves behind a legacy that will endure through the memories shared by his surviving fiancé, Nicholas Craig Gonda of Albuquerque; mother Robbin Fenley of Sierra Vista, Arizona; father John S. Wheeler of DeRidder, Louisiana; sister Melanie Wheeler; and step-grandmother Carol Wheeler.
Chris was preceded in death by his brother, Clifford Patrick Wheeler; maternal grandparents Richard M. Cain and Bonnie M. Cain; paternal grandparents John W. Wheeler and Dolores Wheeler; along with a host of relatives and friends who mourn his loss deeply.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on March 8, 2024, at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Sara Road Chapel in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. The gathering will commence at 11:00 AM to honor the memory of Chris Wheeler—a cherished son, brother, fiancé, friend, colleague, and confidant whose light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts forevermore.
May his gentle soul rest in eternal peace
