Christopher Colquitt Obituary
Christopher Edwin Colquitt of Orrville, AL, died on September 16, 2023, in Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery, AL, after an illness.
He was born and raised in Chattanooga, TN. After receiving his high school diploma, he moved to Tulsa, OK, to earn his A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) mechanics certificate at Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology. He spent many years as an airplane mechanic working at the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility at Brookley Airfield in Mobile AL. He also worked at the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola FL, refurbishing the aircraft on display outside the museum that were damaged during Hurricane Ivan in 2004. Chris enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles with his son Alex. However, his favorite pastime was fishing.
He is survived by his son Alexander Hampton Colquitt; sister, Blakeslee Ann Colquitt; brother Jack Bradford Colquitt, Jr and special friends, Blake Ogle, Lenae Nichols and Wayne Nichols.
A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home ,Sunday, September 24, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Larry Nickles officiating.
